The pick-up time will depend on the time of the year you are travelling. Generally speaking, we will pick you up 2 hours before the Sounion sunset, so that you will have ample time to watch the stunning view.
Sounion Sunset Tour takes you through the most beautiful part of the Athens Riviera. In the comfort of your private car and with live commentary by your driver will provide you will get to know the suburbs you are crossing: Palio Faliro, Alimos, Glyfada, Voula, until you reach striking Vouliagmeni area and our first stop, the Lake.
Vouliagmeni Lake is a natural formation lake with its healing mineral underground springs and its unique beauty.
The imposing rock, thermal waters, the labyrinthine underwater tunnels and the lush vegetation create a unique geological phenomenon.
A great place for relaxation, spa, swimming or enjoying a coffee or a meal by the lake.
You continue your beautiful trip by the Athens Riviera, seeing more picturesque seaside villages and holiday resorts such as Varkiza, Lagonissi, Saronida, Anavissos, Paralia Thymari and Legrena, a stunning sandy beach.
The route is perfect for photography lovers as it offers vast open sea views of the Aegean sea and of the tiny white housed villages by the seaside.
Reaching the south edge of Attica, and the Cape Sounion, we are overwhelmed by the stunning view of the Temple of Poseidon perched on the top of the rock, overlooking the open sea.
The Temple of Poseidon was built by the Athenians in 440 BC roundabout at the same period when Acropolis and the Parthenon were built. It is the only Doric temple to have been preserved until this very day and is located at a height of 73 meters above sea level.
Arriving on time for our sunset, you can find the perfect spot around the Temple and with sea views on all sides, you can take the most amazing photos to remember this special tour.
After your visit to Sounion, your driver can take you to some of the best fishing taverns in the area, ideal for tasting fresh fish and seafood.
When you have completed your meal, your driver will take you back to your residence or drop you at the airport (surcharged) for your flight home.
